2 writing fellowships. 4 books. 23 authors. And counting.
This is what 2026 has allowed us to produce.
We partnered. We collaborated. We created. We experienced setbacks, yes, but we kept moving toward our goal: creating opportunities for Black women to write, preserve, publish, and share their stories.
The numbers are impressive. One small organization did all of this! But beyond the numbers are the relationships we’ve nurtured, the writers we’ve supported, the stories we’ve helped bring into the world, and the impact that will reverberate for generations to come. That is what counts most.
When you invest in Aya Collective—with your dollars, your time, and your presence—this is what emerges. More opportunities. More stories. More possibilities. A growing community committed to ensuring that Black women’s stories are not only told but preserved for generations to come.
And now, we’re asking you to invest again.
Maybe you’ve donated before. Maybe you’ve purchased one of our books, participated in a gathering, or shared our work with someone else. And maybe you’re just discovering Aya Collective. Wherever you are in our community, we invite you to be part of what comes next.
