Join a community of like-minded writers today. Here is how.
Join a writing community through She Writes Holy:
Writing Prompt Wednesdays: Starting in June 2024, Writing Prompt Wednesdays give an opportunity to Black women writers – at all stages of their writing journey – to take a few minutes out of their day to reflect and write around a writing prompt. We host #WritingPromptWednesdays on Instagram at 1pm so be sure to follow us at ayacollectivemn so that you don’t miss our next prompt.
Sacred Saturdays: Sacred Saturdays provides an opportunity for Black women to come together and write early Saturday mornings before we get into the meat of the day. These times together are focused on connection with each other and the spirit within, deepening our capacity to build relationships and do the thing we love to do the most: write. All you need to participate is a computer (we meet virtually), a journal/inspiring book, and your hot beverage of choice. If you haven’t joined us for a session before, be sure to sign up here.
You can find out more about both WritingPromptWednesdays and Sacred Saturdays by visiting our online writing portal, She Writes Holy. This platform brings together both communities for the purpose of deepening our writing practice and connections to each out.

You’ll hear directly from the authors, experience live storytelling, and be in community with people committed to truth-telling, care, and justice in our bodies and beyond.

🌿 Come to reflect.
🌿 Come to stand in solidarity with stories that ask us all to do better by one another. RSVP now—space is limited.
